In 1999, Thomas A. Brooks, CET, and a partner, founded a more full-service fire protection company, DETEK Designs. In 2011, Tom (by now Nicet certified in Level IV Fire Alarm, and Level III Suppression Systems) struck out on his own and established Elevated Technical Design. Although the companies were similar, he chose to focus ETD solely on total system fire protection design. His vision for this new company proved to be unique in the industry. As demand for his services quickly grew, Tom gathered to work with him, highly qualified, NICET certified individuals from his extensive contacts in the business. Together, they form a highly capable team of designers.

Between them, they represent over 120 years of direct experience in the fire protection industry. Most of them have gotten their hands dirty right on the job, so they know what true safety and good design entails - from experience, not just from lines on blue prints. Elevated Technical Design utilizes the latest in AutoCad Technology to provide the most complete systems design possible. We are proficient with Autodesk Revit, Autodesk MEP, and AutoCad and always stay updated with the latest version of the Autodesk software.
The future in fire protection design has moved more and more toward 3D DESIGN and Elevated Technical Design has kept ahead of the curve in this area. ETD can incorporate 3D designs into any building modeling package utilizing the Autodesk Revit software.
It’s your choice - ETD provides two dimensional "flat" floor plan designs or 3-D Building Information Modeling Layouts. We work in three dimensions for all our fire suppression and fire sprinkler system designs, creating easy and accurate isometric piping layouts.
