Open On Time!

School fire alarm codes are straight forward and, generally, easy to follow. Our challenge, though, occurs during the construction process. Often, a school’s completion deadline must coincide with the beginning of a school year - no matter what delays may have occurred throughout the construction phase. If the facility cannot re-open on time, the postponement has far-reaching consequences - for administration, teachers, transportation, students, parents...and the list goes on.

We're Ready To Go

We put our more than 120 years combined industry experience at your disposal. Our services deliver a very cost-effective way to meet your deadlines without employing additional personnel dedicated to design projects.

Our prompt response helps get you up and running as quickly as possible. ETD NICET certified designers are also factory trained individuals with most product lines, and this gives us the ability to produce innovative and accurate fire alarm design drawings when and where you need them.

Know The Codes

A huge part of avoiding potential interruptions lays with knowing which codes apply, and designing your fire protection system to be compliant from the get-go. ETD has provided thousands of Fire Alarm and Suppression Design Drawings across the United States and the world over the last 20 years. Because of this, we have built an extensive database that’s readily accessible and allows us to quickly determine the applicable national codes.

AHJ Liaison

During the design process, we communicate with you and the local fire marshal or building department to determine what local changes have been made to the national codes. This step avoids any code interpretation issues that may arise from the local AHJ. In some cases, Elevated Technical Design even assists the local AHJ with understanding the code that has been adopted. We work directly with them to ensure that fire alarms do not become an issue and delay your project.
